Organic "Silver" Garden Plots

The Organic Silver Sites, where the emphasis is on good value and economy, the garden plot being laid out for maximum growing space with the minimum of fuss - these simple sites we feel suit everyone from beginners to those more ambitious and serious allotmenteers.

 

All Silver Sites have ample standpipes and water troughs, located throughout the allotment site.

 

Each garden plot has the benefit of a 4 x 4 Garden Shed with water butt and composting bin, plus a small pea shingle Patio Area.

 

A 6 x 4 Aluminium Greenhouse is available as an optional extra on some garden plots. Please ask for details and prices.

The Sites are surrounded by a 6' high rabbit proofed perimiter fence with double locked entrance gates.

 

Garden plots come in three sizes, the Standard Plot which is approx. 90 sq metres, the Double Plot which is approx. 180 sq metres, and the Family Plot which comes in at approx. 270 sq metres. 

 

All garden allotment sites are treated with several tons of Organic Vegegrow™ topsoil and composting mixture, prior to handover.

 

Raised growing beds  and Rustic seating units are available at extra cost.

 

All Silver Garden Plots and communal areas benefit from a 12 months Warranty issued by Lifestyle Garden Allotments Limited

 

Depending on the Allotment Site location, purchase prices range from £3,950.00 for a Standard Plot, £6,950.00 for a Double Plot, £9,950.00 for a Family Plot . The purchase of a garden allotment plot is exempt from VAT.

  

Financial Loan packages are available for up to 15 years with a 30% deposit,  just ask for details. 

 

Garden Plot Leases are for 99 years at an initial Ground Rent of £35.00 per annum. There is an estimated Maintenance Charge of £75.00 per annum, depending on the size of the garden plot, this is to cover maintenance of the communal areas, including water, cleaning toilet facilities and maintaining the general upkeep of the allotment site.

 

All garden plot owners will be given shares in the Management Company that is run by a committee of owners and tenants, which is responsible for the overall control of the Allotment Site

 

If you prefer you could rent a garden plot for an initial period of 3 years. Rentals from £575.00 per annum (£11.00 pw). Rents are payable quarterly in advance by standing order.

 

Maintenance Charges as mentioned above are also payable by tenants and owners quarterly in advance by standing order, and adjusted annually to reflect the true costs.

 

At the end of the tenancy, tenants have a "Right to buy" option, either the garden plot they are currently renting, or another garden plot on the same Allotment Site, subject to availability.


In all cases the existing tenant will be entitled to a 15% discount on the current purchase price at that time.
